How to find time for exercising
Here are my TOP 5 tips:
1. Plan your day before it starts (either the night
before or in the morning) & schedule exercise time into it. I
recommend setting at least 15-20 minutes aside daily for exercising. On
days where you feel ill or very exhausted, use that time to do some
relaxation exercises or meditation.
2. Cut down on some of your “time-wasters” such as
checking emails, Facebook, Twitter, etc. For example, commit to checking
your emails, Facebook, Twitter & Co only once or twice a day. And
also plan the amount of time you want to use for this beforehand. And
most important of all – stick to it! And of course, use the time you
saved for exercising.
3. Get up a bit earlier & exercise first thing in
the morning – you not only feel more vital after it, that way you also
make sure that it won’t get cancelled because something else has come up
which is more likely to happen during the day.
4. Use your work breaks for exercising - even if you
can only do a few exercises at a time. You will still enjoy the benefits
of it and you will be amazed how much more productive you will be
afterwards. In fact, a lot of top managers are actually doing this.
5. And last but not least, you could also cut down on
your “TV-time” and use it for exercising instead. Or if you like, do
some exercises while you are watching TV – although, I do not recommend
that as you are much more likely to get distracted and you won’t focus
as much on the exercises and the correct execution of those. A lot of
times the workout won’t be as effective as if you would fully
concentrate & dedicate your entire focus & awareness to your
exercises.
And here is something to motivate you even more:
A study has found that doing just 15 minutes of moderate exercise a day
could add three years to your life. Who doesn’t want that?!
Have fun exercising!
